Animal Medical Center is a veterinary hospital and luxury pet boarding facility located just minutes from the Gulf Coast's beautiful beaches. Dr. John Heilmeier, Dr. Kasey Singley and their veterinary staff are dedicated to providing special care for all of your pets' needs in a family-friendly atmosphere. 

Full-service veterinary practice

Our full service veterinary practice provides pet boarding for the Gulf Coast. We offer in-house pet grooming and carry all of the supplies that are so important to you and your pets. A few of the veterinary brands available are Heartgard, Science Diet,Trifexis/Comfortis and Advantage. 

Animal Medical Center has the capability of performing a variety of in-house testing with our blood chemistry machines, EKG, Digital Radiography, and Ultrasound.

About us

Dr. Heilmeier and Babbie are extremely proud of their caring and professional staff. With over 45 years' combined veterinary experience, Dr. Heilmeier and his staff specialize in medicine, surgery, dentistry, and senior & pediatric wellness programs. Some of the staff have worked with Dr. Heilmeier for over fifteen years.

Our Staff

Dr. Heilmeier, Babbie, and the friendly veterinary staff at Animal Medical Center are concerned about your pet's health. Their medical team consists of Dr. Kasey Singley, Veterinarian, Robin Rogers, LVT, Veterinary Technician and Hospital Manager, Anna Martin and Josie Templeman, Receptionists, Brittany Abadilla, Lori Lindsey, Tara Dorman and Kirsten Broussard, Veterinary Assistants, Brenda Watson, Kennel Supervisor, Katie Jackson, full-time animal caregiver and Pam Patterson is our part-time kennel assistant.
Dr. John Heilmeier was born and raised in Alabama's charming Baldwin County. He graduated from Foley High School and received his degree from Auburn University's School of Veterinary Medicine in 1982. He has been a veterinarian for over 30 years and has practiced in South Baldwin County for most of that time. He opened Animal Medical Center in 1997. He and his wife Babbie, who is the Business Manager, renovated a home into a veterinary practice that would give a warm, loving feeling and show how much they love all animals. They are proud canine parents to Heidi, Logan, and Hannah. They also have an adorable cat named Ernie.

Dr. Kasey Singley was also born and raised in Baldwin County. Dr. Singley always knew she wanted to become a veterinarian, and at the age of 15, began working for Dr. Heilmeier. After graduating from Foley High School in 1997, she then pursued her career at Auburn University School of Veterinary Medicine. Upon graduation in 2006, she was the recipient of the Gentle Doctor Award. She and her husband have a son and daughter. They also enjoy their Bulldog mix, Gertie, and a Brussels mix, Mabel.

Robin Rogers is a licensed veterinary technician and hospital manager for Animal Medical Center. She began working with Dr. Heilmeier in 1992 after moving to Baldwin County. She began her career as a Licensed Veterinary Technician in 1990 after graduating from Snead College's School of Veterinary Technology. She says her love and compassion for animals is the reason she decided to choose this career and adds that the unconditional love a beloved pet has for its owner makes her enjoy her job. She and her husband have 2 children, 4 cats, and a passion for Australian Shepherds.
